When you activate AccountsPrep, it comes with a default Chart of Accounts.
You can add new ledgers individually using the "Add account" or "Add Bank Account" buttons.
Add Account / Add bank Account
Click the Accounting tab, then click Chart of Accounts.
Click Add Account or Add Bank Account.
Select the account type as relevant.
⚠CAUTION: If you want to activate the bank account features make sure you select the option Add bank accounts . Once you create an account, you can't change or convert its type.
Fill in the fields:
Code
Account Name
Classification
Default Tax code on Receipts (not available for bank accounts)
Default Tax code on Expenses (not available for bank accounts)
📌TIP: You can edit existing ledgers you don't want to use and customise them according to your needs.
You can also use the import function to import multiple ledgers, or even edit existing ledgers in bulk.
