One of your options to add bank statement data in AccountsPrep is to enter it manually.

  1. Click the Banks tab, then click Bank Statements.

  2. Click Add Statement Data.

  3. Select the relevant bank account you want to add data to.

  4. Click Enter data on-screen option.

  5. Click Continue.

  6. Double-click under the relevant column of a line to edit or add data to it.
    You can add:

    • Date

    • Details

    • Reference

    • Account

    • Tax

    • Payments

    • Receipts

📌TIP: You can also split your transactions, match with your cheques, fast code and more. For further information, read our guide on how to process and code your transactions.

  7. If you need more lines, click Add Line.

  8. If you're not ready to post, click Save Draft to continue and edit later.

📌TIP: The transaction batch will be available from the Draft tab when you view bank statements.

  9. When you're done, click Post.

📎NOTE: If you enter data manually, make sure to reflect the data exactly as it appears on the statement in terms of:

  • Transaction date

  • Payment amount

  • Receipt amount

You can edit and improve the bank's statements Details and Reference fields as you need.
