Add and manage Analysis Tags

How to create and use Analysis Tags in AccountsPrep.

Analysis tags allow you to categorise and filter your transactions in your reports.

You can create, disable or delete Analysis Tags from your Settings.


How to create or edit a tag

  1. Go to Settings tab and click the Analysis tags panel.

  2. Toggle the - Analysis Tags Enabled - button to activate the feature.

  3. From the Analysis tag window, you can:

    • Create new tags from the - Add Tag - button

    • Delete current tags

    • Deactivate or Reactivate a tag if you don't want to delete it

    • Mark a tag as the default

    • Edit the name and description of any existing tag

    The analysis tag window and all its features.

  4. Click Save to apply any changes.


How to use Analysis tags

Apply your tags

After you create a tag, you can assign it to your transactions when you create or edit a batch.

📎NOTE: You can add analysis tags to your Standard Journal entries but not the Double Journal or Quick Journal (Balance journal).

Filter your reports

You can then filter the Account Details or Transactions Search reports with one or multiple tags.
