To transfer your bank statement data from AutoEntry into Sage 50 Accounts, you must do the following:
Download the bank statement from AutoEntry.
Edit the Excel template where required.
Import the completed template into Sage 50 Accounts.
📎NOTE: This only works if you use Sage 50 Accounts v25 and above.
Before you start
Before you import your Bank Statement data from AutoEntry to Sage 50 Accounts you require the following details:
Your Sage account number
The nominal account entered
The tax code entered
This is because AutoEntry can't add these details so you must add them manually before importing.
📎NOTE: If you have any intra-account transfers on the statements to import, use our guide, AutoEntry Bank Statement Export with Account Transfers for Sage 50 Accounts UKI, for more information on how to handle these transactions before importing.
Step 1 - Download bank statement data from AutoEntry
Follow the usual steps to download your extracted bank statement data from AutoEntry.
When you need to select a file type, click Sage 50.Enter the relevant bank account code in the Account Reference field (column B).
This is the Sage 50 nominal code, not the actual bank account number. AutoEntry defaults to 1200 in the CSV.
Enter the appropriate nominal account code numbers in column C.
Enter the appropriate Tax Codes (T1/T2 etc.) in the Tax Code column.
Save the file as a regular CSV and close it.
Step 2 - Import into Sage 50 Accounts
Go to Sage 50 Accounts and click File.
Click Import, and the data import pop-up opens.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
📎NOTE: All the fields will be already pre-mapped for Sage 50 Accounts.
