You can split any of your bank statement batch entries to allocate the amount to different account categories.

Split a new transaction

  1. After you upload your bank statement data (or enter the data manually), click the Split button to the right of any line you want to split.

  2. By default two lines are created but you can add extra lines to split the amount between more accounts.

  3. Once the lines are added, click to edit the Amount for each line, until the total amount is reached.

  4. Select the relevant Account category for each line.

  5. Add a Reference if needed and Save.

To edit a split transaction:

  • You can edit the split at any stage by clicking the link on the transaction line.

  • The split transaction pop-up menu will then appear for you to edit as you wish.

  • You can add additional lines by clicking Add Line + on the pop-up.

To undo/delete a split transaction:

  • To remove a split transaction, simply click the link to edit the transaction (as described above).

  • Within the pop-up menu, click the button to confirm you wish to do this.

  • The account field will then be empty for you to code again as you wish.
