Right after the initial set-up of your AccountsPrep account, you can amend the settings from the Company Setup page.
For example, you selected the company to be Non-Tax Registered, but it needs to be Tax Registered.
⚠CAUTION: Once you upload or enter any data to your account, you won't be able to edit the company settings. Even after you've deleted that data.
Access
To access the Company Setup page:
Select Settings.
Select Company Setup.
Settings
You can configure the following settings from the Company Setup page:
Chart of Accounts template
Chart of Accounts template
Select View templates to open your current AccountsPrep Templates.
You can review the Chart of Accounts details and associated settings.
To change the template, click AccountsPrep template and select the relevant Chart of Accounts from the list.

If the option is still available, you can select the company’s tax registration status.
Select Save to save these changes.

If you’ve made errors during the initial setup, or need to start over again, you can completely reset the company settings.
If you can't reset
Once you've added data to AccountsPrep, you won't be able to reset the settings. You’ll see the following message:
The company cannot be reset because it has transactional data.
Even if you've deleted that data.
To work around this, you need to link your AccountsPrep account to another company in AutoEntry and create a new one.
Create a new dummy company in AutoEntry- You can give a slightly different name.
