Hide VAT, Category, Expense Category Codes and Mileage Rates

How to mark your mileage rates and categories as invisible from invoice/expense dropdown menus.

You can use the visibility toggle to hide Mileage rates, VAT/Tax, Category and Expense Category codes in AutoEntry. This deactivates them from the dropdown menus in your invoices or expenses, but they remain on your Manage Lists page.

  1. Access your company's homepage.

  2. Click Manage Lists page from the secondary menu.

    📎NOTE: If you can't see this menu, this means you don't have the Company Settings permission. Check with the owner or someone with the Manage users permission.

  3. Select the relevant tab:

    • Categories

    • Vat Codes

    • Expense Categories

    • Mileage Rates

    • Tracking category (if not integrated)

      tabs available from the Manage list section.

  4. To hide a code or category from the list, click the toggle in the Visible column.
    ​
    Switching this to Off hides the code from the dropdown menus on your invoices and/or expenses.

  5. Any change applies automatically.
