Error inserting Purchase Order: (SimplySDK.SimplyNoAccessException) The invoice number field is disabled or it is hidden because the journal is not in invoice mode.

When integrating the AutoEntry Desktop Sync App with Sage 50 Canada, you must set up a new user within Sage. If the new user you have set up does not have full permissions, you will encounter this error.

Resolution

To clear this error, please do the following:

  1. Log into the Sage company as Sysadmin.

  2. Select Setup > Set up users > select the user for Autoentry

  3. Ensure the AutoEntry user has full access rights as seen below by selecting Read/Write access and Full accounting rights

4. Pause Sage Drive, then close Sage

5. Republish the affected invoice(s)

Once the invoices have published you can then return to Sage and unpause Drive!
