Symptom

The user is receiving the below error message when attempting to integrate with QuickBooks Online.

An unexpected error has occurred. Please try again shortly. Unauthorized status: 401

Applies To

  • QuickBooks Online users when attempting to integrate a company in AutoEntry with the correlating company in QuickBooks Online.

Resolution

To clear this error, please complete the following steps:

  1. Open your company in QuickBooks Online.

  2. Click Apps on the bottom left-hand corner.

  3. Click My Apps and if AutoEntry appears, disconnect it.

  4. Attempt to integrate the company again via AutoEntry.
