Symptom

You are receiving the below error message after attempting to publish an invoice.

The current user is not allowed to access that resource with that method.

Applies To

  • Sage Business Cloud Accounting integrated companies.

Cause

This error is typically caused by a change of settings or permissions within Sage that has not yet been reflected in AutoEntry.

Resolution

To clear this error, please do the following:

  1. Log into Sage using an account that has full admin access.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Navigate to User Management.

  4. There will be a list of accounts - click on the account that matches the company name you uploaded the invoice to.

  5. Check the setting highlighted below and ensure it has Full Access:

  6. Go back to AutoEntry, disconnect your integration with Sage, and reconnect.

  7. Unpublish and republish the affected invoice(s).
