When attempting to connect a QuickBooks Desktop company file to AutoEntry, you may see the following error in the Sync App.
Connection to the company could not be established. A modal dialog box is showing in the QuickBooks user interface. Your application cannot access QuickBooks until the user dismisses the dialog box.
This error can appear when you are trying to connect a company to QuickBooks Desktop via the AutoEntry Desktop Sync App while you are not logged into QuickBooks as an admin user.
To clear this error message:
Close QuickBooks Desktop.
Re-open QuickBooks as an administrator user.
Once open, make sure no other user is signed into QuickBooks and no notification box is open.
