Symptom

The following error can appear when trying to Sync Data to or from Sage Accounting:

'1. Access denied. User not allowed. (MBM)
The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.'

Resolution

This error is due to incorrect permissions set up in Sage Accounting. To resolve this:

  1. Log in to Sage Accounting as an Administrator.

  2. Select your business name in the top-right corner, then select Manage users.

  3. Find the user trying to set up the integration, then select Edit user.

  4. Assign either Administrator or Full Access to the user.

Once you've set the permission, disconnect and reconnect your company to Sage Accounting from the integration tab.

After reconnection, allow 10-15 minutes for your data to sync back to Autoentry, then republish any affected invoices.
