When you try to create a contact or publish an invoice you may see the error below.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

This error is typically caused by an internal setting or code having changed within your accounts package since you made a selection within the invoice.

Is the selection in the invoice aligned with your settings in your accounting package?


Resolution

To clear this error, you need to refresh the synchronisation to align the data:

  1. Re-Sync the data.

    This will pull the latest information from your accounting software into AutoEntry.

  2. Edit the invoice and reselect the correct code or category.

  3. Publish.
