Error System.Net.HttpListenerException (0x80004005): Failed to listen on prefix

If you are seeing this error message on the sync app or in the log file of the sync app, this is most likely due to having two instances of the service running at the same time.


To resolve this issue you will need to perform the following steps:

  1. Open up your Task Manager. You can do this by clicking the start menu icon and searching for "Task Manager"

  2. Click on the Details tab

  3. Search for all instances of the AutoEntry Desktop Sync App and end the tasks

  4. Once you have ended all of the AutoEntry tasks, you will need to re-open the sync app
