While trying to connect a company to Sage 50, the following message on your Sync App can occur.
Information
Could not read the company list for the selected accounting package:
1) Firstly, confirm that your selected accounting package is installed on your PC.
2) Alternatively, select the file location of the company you are trying to connect to.
This error typically appears when the Folder Path field on the Sync App is not fully populated with the correct company file path.
Resolution
To clear the error:
Click the 'x' at the top right of the alert window to close it.
Ensure the 'Company not shown. Click here to select Manually' box is ticked.
Enter the company's file path into the 'Folder Path' field, located just to the right of the 'Browse for folder' window. You can find the Sage 50 UK&I file path by following the steps here. Sage 50 Canada users can follow the steps here.
Once the file path is entered, click 'Connect to AutoEntry'.
