You are receiving the below error message when trying to publish an invoice.

1.line_items.description : This field is required.

This error is usually caused by a restriction in Sage Business Cloud Accounting relating to special characters e.g { } : [ ] ; < > ' ~ among others, in the invoice's line item description fields.

To clear the error, simply open the invoice and delete any special characters from the line item description fields. Once that is done, the invoice just needs to be republished!
