When you try to integrate AutoEntry with Sage 50 Accounts (UKI), you may see the following error.

Connection to the company could not be established. Desktop Connection Error: The following error occurred connecting to your Accounts Package: Unable to connect to the Sage Data Service. Ensure this computer is switched on or connected to your network. If this problem persists refer to: http://www.sage.co.uk/dataservice

This occurs when you have an ESET virus checker on the computer you have Sage 50 Accounts v30 (64-bit) installed on.

We're currently working on a fix to prevent this issue from happening. To work around the issue in the meantime, you can install a 32-bit version of the Sage Data Objects application on the same computer that stores the Sage Accounts data.

Install the 32-bit SDO service

  1. Download the 32-bit SDO installer.

  2. Open the downloaded .zip file and click Extract all.

  3. Click Extract.

  4. Once the extracted file opens, double-click the x86 folder.

  5. Double click Sage50Accounts_SDO.

  6. Check the box to accept the licence agreement, then click Install.

  7. If you're prompted to allow the app to make changes to your computer, click Yes or Allow.

  8. Once the installation is complete, click Finish.

📌TIP: You only need to install the SDO on the computer which holds the accounts data.
