Proper VAT code management is essential for maintaining accurate tax reporting and regulatory compliance. Errors in VAT configuration can lead to data discrepancies and potential compliance issues.
It's possible to edit and/or delete VAT/Tax and Category codes on AutoEntry, but only if you haven't integrated with an accounting software.
No Integration
Click Manage Lists to the left of the company homepage screen.
Select either the Categories or VAT Codes tab at the top of the page.
Edit codes
Text boxes are editable. Enter your changes and they’ll save automatically.

Rate
Description
Delete codes
Click the Delete icon to the right of the code to delete an individual code.
To delete multiple codes, select the checkbox to the left of the relevant codes, then click Delete.
Integrated accounts
If your company is linking with an accounting software, the codes or category fields will show as disabled or greyed out, with a warning message.
If you want to edit or delete any tax or category codes, proceed from your accounting software. You then need to resync your data to apply the changes in AutoEntry.
