If you're using the Desktop SyncApp to integrate with Sage 50 or QuickBooks Desktop, your login will depend on the way you signed up.

I use an AutoEntry login for AutoEntry

If you signed up via AutoEntry, you can use the same credentials to access the Sync App installed on your computer.

I use a Sage account for AutoEntry

If you signed up to AutoEntry using your Sage account, or you use Sage for Accountants to access AutoEntry, use the Sage login option.

  1. Select SIGN IN WITH SAGE.

  2. Enter your Sage account email address, then select Continue.

  3. Enter your Sage account password, then select Log in.

📎NOTE: If you're prompted to create a Sage account, this means you don't already have a Sage account for the email address you entered.

  4. If required, enter your six-digit code for two-factor authentication (2FA), then select Continue.

I use an Intuit ID for AutoEntry

If you signed up to AutoEntry using your Intuit QuickBooks ID, you can't use those credentials to access the Desktop Sync App.

📎NOTE: These steps don't affect the use of your Sage or Intuit ID to log into the AutoEntry website. It’s exclusively for use on our Mobile App and Desktop Sync App.

Login issues

If you can't log in to the Desktop Sync App, first check your credentials, and if necessary, reset your password via the correct channel.### Forgotten Username or Password If you've forgotten your password, reset it via the AutoEntry password recovery process:

  1. Go to the AutoEntry login page.

  2. Select Forgot Password.

  3. Follow the instructions in the password reset email.

If your login credentials are correct and you still can't access, try to restart or update the SyncApp.### Incorrect Username and Password Error ('E84') This error may occur after a Sage update or if credentials are input incorrectly. To resolve this:

  1. Refresh the AutoEntry Desktop Sync App.

  2. Ensure the username and password entered match your AutoEntry account credentials.

  3. If refreshing doesn't work, close and reopen the application, then log in again.

  4. As a last resort, reset your password and retry the login process.

Tips for Preventing Login Problems

  1. Always keep your AutoEntry account credentials securely stored and updated.

  2. After updating Sage, refresh the Desktop Sync App to prevent potential errors.

  3. Ensure your app and system are running the latest updates to avoid incompatibility issues.

  4. Contact AutoEntry support if login issues persist beyond these troubleshooting steps.
