AutoEntry subscriptions and Bulk purchases

Credits expire 90 days after the date of purchase.

  • Unused credits roll over for a maximum of 90 days

  • Credits expire whether you buy them in bulk or receive them through a subscription

  • Credits still expire if you pause your subscription

📎NOTE: Before July 2025, pausing a subscription stopped credits from expiring. If you paused your subscription before this change, you had until 30 September 2025 to use your remaining credits.

Your credits now expire 90 days after purchase, even if you pause your subscription.

This change doesn't apply in Canada.

📌TIP: To manage your credits effectively:

  • Review your subscription to make sure it meets your business needs

  • Upgrade your subscription if you frequently run low on credits

Cancelled subscriptions

If you cancel your subscription, any remaining credits expire 30 days after the cancellation date.

📎 NOTE: Credit expiry doesn't affect access to your AutoEntry account. After cancellation, you can still access your account and data for 13 months.

Sage 50 Bundle subscriptions

If you use AutoEntry through a Sage 50 bundle:

  • Credits expire on the first day of each month

  • Unused monthly credits don't roll over

You can buy more credits from the AutoEntry website. These credits expire 90 days after purchase, or according to the terms of the purchase.

Sage for Accountant subscriptions

If you use AutoEntry or AccountsPrep through Sage for Accountants:

  • Credits expire on the first day of each month

  • Overage charges apply if you exceed your monthly allowance

Contact Sage Support if you have questions about your credit allowance.

Exceed your monthly allowance

This section applies to AutoEntry standalone subscriptions only.

Check your usage

You can check your credit balance and usage from settings.

Overage

When you reach your credit allowance, overage applies up to 200% of your monthly credit limit. These credits will show in negative in your usage report. The next bill will automatically include these extra credits with a 10% extra charge.

Buy credits in bulk

You can buy credits in bulk without changing your subscription.

Upgrade your subscription

If you regularly exceed your monthly allowance, upgrade your subscription for better value.

You can downgrade your subscription later if your usage decreases.

📎NOTE: Clear any outstanding overage before upgrading.

Pause your subscription

If you don't need to upload documents for a period, you can pause your subscription.

📎NOTE: Credits expire 90 days after purchase, even if you pause your subscription.
