2-step authentication adds an extra security step when you sign in. After you enter your email and password, you enter a verification code.
You can set up authentication using:
A mobile authenticator app
SMS verification

This feature is available for AutoEntry login only
If you use Sign in with Sage, set up authentication in Sage ID
Xero-integrated accounts require 2-step authentication

Set up 2-step authentication
Open AutoEntry and go to your user profile.
Open the Security tab, then set up the security questions.
Enter the password, then choose the questions and answers.
Open the 2-factor verification tab, then select the authentication method.
Choose an authentication method
You can use one method only.
Mobile app (recommended)
SMS verification
If one method is active, turn it off before setting up the other.
Use a mobile authenticator app
Set up an authenticator app on your smartphone. Scan the QR code shown in AutoEntry using the app. Enter the verification code from the app to complete setup.
Use SMS verification
Set up SMS verification to receive a code by text message. Enter your phone number and use the code sent to your device.
SMS verification isn't available for free trial users
Purchase credits or use an authenticator app instead
Log in using 2-step authentication
After setup, enter a verification code each time you sign in. Use the code from your authenticator app, or use the SMS code.
Recovery code
If you can't access your authentication method | Select Enter Recovery Code during sign-in. |
If you can access your account | Generate a new recovery code from your profile. |
If you can't sign in | Contact us to reset access. |
