How to resolve this error when integrating with Sage 50 Canada.

Symptom


The following error can appear on your integration status or when connecting a company to Sage 50 Canada.

Error: 'Unable to open the Company File. Please check that your version of Sage 50 is supported, or if multiple versions of Sage 50 are installed, that the correct version is running for the company being connected to.'

This error occurs when not all of your companies are updated to the same version.

All companies need to be the same version in Sage.
Including demo companies and companies not connected to AutoEntry.

📌TIP: Select 'Diagnostic' on the Sync App to confirm how many versions of Sage are installed.

Resolution


If all Sage companies are not updated to the same version


  1. Update all companies to the same version in Sage.
    This Includes demo companies and companies not connected to AutoEntry.

  2. Disconnect and Reconnect your company in the AutoEntry Sync App

If all Sage companies are updated to the same version:


  1. Update your Sync App

  2. Disconnect your company from the AutoEntry Sync App

  3. Open the company selection screen on Sage 50.

  4. Reconnect the company.
