Install the SDO service

To resolve this error, you need to install the appropriate Sage Data Object component (SDO) depending on the version of your Sage 50 account.

Alternative

As an alternative, you can also modify your ESET settings.

This message can occur when you have an ESET virus checker on the computer you have Sage 50 Accounts v30 (64-bit) installed on.

📌TIP: Your IT department, or Admin user may need to configure ESET for you.

  1. Close Sage 50 Accounts and the Sync App.

  2. Open ESET, then click Setup.

  3. Click Advanced Setup.

  4. Click Web & Email.

  5. Change SSL/TLS from Automatic mode, to Interactive mode.

  6. Re-open the Sync App try again.

📎NOTE: After you've made these changes in ESET and started the task you were trying to complete again, a series of popups from ESET will appear. Select the option to Ignore all of these messages.

Once the task has been completed, you can change your ESET settings again and set the SSL/TLS mode back to Automatic.
