Export bank statements

How to download your bank statement data after extraction in AutoEntry.

Written by Oliver Cook

You can use the download option to export your bank statement data as a CSV or Excel file. Multiple formats are available allowing you to re-import the file into an accounting software.

📎NOTE: If a specific format isn't available, you can export a csv file and adjust it to the required import format manually.

  1. Click the three dots on the Inbox or the statement view page, then click Download.

  2. A menu opens, prompting you to select the File Type.

There are specific formats for some integrations, but generally, a CSV file is fine for most imports.

  3. Select a Date Range.

  4. Click Download, and the file automatically downloads to your PC.

  5. To import this into your accountancy package, use the import tool there and select the saved file from your PC.

⚠️CAUTION: After downloading it to import into your accounting software, don't open the file before you import it. Mapping is software-specific and opening in other programs can lead to formatting changes that cause import issues.

If you face an issue while importing due to this, you can re-download the file from AutoEntry and attempt the import again. If you still receive errors after this, contact your accounting software's support team.
