Company networks may block the AutoEntry Sync App by routing traffic through a proxy or by blocking outgoing connections via a firewall or endpoint protection.

Below is an overview to configure proxy access or firewalls and endpoint protection to allow the AutoEntry Desktop Sync App to operate to integrate with Sage 50 or QuickBooks Desktop.

📎NOTE: We recommend you contact your IT support if you require further help with this.

Proxy Access

  • On the first install, the AutoEntry Sync App runs as the Local System account (NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM)

  • You may need to configure proxy access or remove old configuration data that has been added to this account in the past

  • Alternatively, create a new domain account and run AutoEntry Sync under that account

Checking Local System Proxy Configuration

You can check proxy settings for NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM by running Internet Explorer as this account.

  1. Get PsExec (standalone exe, not an installer).

  2. Run cmd as admin, then run this command:
    psexec -s -i "%programfiles%\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"

  3. Check the proxy configuration in IE.

Firewall Configuration

  • Outgoing TCP on port 443 is used to send data to data.docurec.com

  • If AutoEntry Sync is installed on a machine that does not use the Windows Firewall e.g. you are letting the AntiVirus software act as a firewall, then you must add the above rule manually to the firewall

Proxy Configuration

Access required:

  • data.autoentry.com:443

  • api.logentries.com:443

  • api.logentries.com:20000
