Objective

This article will show you how to check whether the start-up type of your AutoEntry Desktop Sync App is a Service or Console application.

Applies To

  • Sage 50 UK&I users

  • Sage 50 Canada users

  • Sage 50 US users

  • QuickBooks Desktop users

Procedure

In order to confirm the start-up type of your AutoEntry Sync App, you must do the following:

  1. Open your task manager (right click on the windows taskbar and select Task Manager)

  2. Select the Services tab at the top and then click on 'Open Services' at the bottom of that window

  3. Find AutoEntry.DesktopSync.Service in this new window

If the start-up type shown here says Automatic, it is a Service Application

If the start-up type shown here says Disabled, it is a Console Application
