You are seeing the below error message on your company's Integration Status.

Desktop Connection Error: The following error occurred connecting to your Accounts Package: In order to use this feature you must update your Sage 50 Accounts SDO to version xxxx.

  • Sage 50 UK&I integrated companies.


This error is most typically caused by the following:

  1. The PC where you have the Desktop Sync App installed is not the same PC where Sage is installed.

  2. You need to update your Sage program to the latest version.

  3. You have updated to the latest version of Sage, but your Desktop Sync App requires an update also.


The steps for each of the above causes are as follows:

  1. Ensure that your Sage program is installed on the same PC as the Sync App. This is essential for your integration to run properly.

  2. Check your Sage program for an update, and ensure you are updating all company files linked with the program.

Once you have completed all of these steps, re-sync your company data on AutoEntry, and the error should clear within a few moments!
