Symptom

The user is receiving the below error message when attempting to publish an invoice.

The operation has timed out.

Cause

This error is most typically caused by a temporary time-out in the connection between Sage and AutoEntry, normally as a result of slow network access.

Please note the two different sets of steps below for Sage 50 and SBCA. Be sure to follow the steps for the integration your company is integrated with.

Resolution

Sage 50

  1. Open your PC's Task Manager, select More details if it is showing the minimised view, and click on the Processes tab.

  2. Click on OCRex.Desktop.AutoEntry.Client & AutoEntry.Service.

  3. Select End Task on both.

  4. Open the Sync App again and ensure you are able to view your company list.

  5. Unpublish and republish any affected invoices.

Once an invoice successfully publishes to Sage 50, the error will clear!

Sage Business Cloud Accounting

  1. Click the Integrate button, located on the left hand side of your company's homepage. If you do not have access to this button, it is most likely due to the permissions set for you by the account-holder, which you would need to contact them about directly.

  2. The Disconnect button can be found near the top of the page (pictured below). When you click it, your integration will be disconnected.

Once disconnected, the page will show the list of accountancy packages we integrate with, allowing you to select yours to reconnect.
