Once your bank or credit card statement data finishes processing in AutoEntry you can export that data directly into Sage Accounting.

How it works

This can be done from within the Inbox or when viewing the Statement data.

From the left, the page shows:

  • The project name top left and the date it was last updated

  • View icon to view the extraction details

  • Account number as extracted from the uploaded statements

  • Sage Bank Account dropdown to select the connected Sage Accounting bank account

  • Date Range/Notes - showing the date range of the statements processed

  • Files - Number of files uploaded to that account

  • Pages - Number of pages uploaded

  • Export to Sage - to export the data directly to Sage Accounting

  • Export History - An audit trail and status notification of previous exports to Sage Accounting

  • Download - option to download the data locally

  • Trash Can - to delete that account, including all the extractions already completed for that account

  • Download accounts to the top right will download all the data in all the accounts within that project

Export your bank statement data

  1. From your inbox in AutoEntry, select the relevant bank account from the drop-down menu.

  2. Click the Export to Sage button to the right.

This opens a calendar pop-up window.

All available dates are selected by default, but you select new dates to reduce the data.

  3. Once you select the required dates, click Export to Sage.

A pop-up appears to confirm the transaction dates being exported and the Sage bank account they're being exported to.

  4. Click Export to Sage on this screen to confirm that these details are correct and export the data to Sage Accounting.

📌TIP: If any of the selections are incorrect you can cancel the export and re-select the correct data/bank account.

  5. Once exported, you can click the Export History option to view the status of the export.

The data can take 1 to 2 minutes to complete. Once completed, a red icon appears on the Export History button to indicate an update and the history shows the transactions are ready for review in Sage.

📎NOTE: When you view the extracted data, you follow the same process as above; select the account, export to Sage, and select the dates. The options are located at the top of the extraction.

How does this look in Sage Accounting?

The exported transactions show on the Bank Account tile. The number of transactions doesn't update until you click on them.

When you click on the Transactions link this opens the incoming bank transactions list. Here you need to choose whether to:

  • Match transactions to bank rules

  • Match transactions to outstanding invoices, credit notes or receipts

  • Create a new transaction

  • Transfer from or to a different account

  • Delete transactions you don’t want to import
