ERROR: 'An unknown error has occurred...'

Fix the E97 error when publishing to Sage 50 Canada.

When publishing an invoice to Sage 50 Canada, the following error can appear:

'An unknown error has occurred. To protect your company data, Sage 50 will now shut down. Any unsaved data will be lost. ID: E97'


What this means

This happens when you connect a company shared with Remote Data Access (RDA) using the wrong Sync App setup.


Before you start

Check this first:


If you use RDA

Don't pause Remote Data Access. Instead, reconnect the company using the correct method.

  1. Open the Sync App.

  2. Disconnect and reconnect using the RDA option.

  3. Allow the connection to complete.

  4. Republish your invoices.


If you don't use RDA

  1. Restart the Sync App.

  2. Resync the company.

  3. Republish the invoice.

Only pause RDA if we advise you to, as it can interrupt access for other users
